Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how J3 Software LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the game and website at idletris.com (“Idletris” or the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Idletris does not require an account, and we do not ask you for your name, email address, or other identifying details in order to play. The game runs in your browser.

• Gameplay data. Your progress — boards, points, upgrades, and prestige — is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device so you can pick up where you left off. It is not transmitted to us. You can erase it at any time with the in-game Reset Save option or by clearing your browser’s site data.
• Leaderboard submissions (optional). If you choose to submit a score to the monthly leaderboard, the short display name and score you enter are sent to and stored by our third-party database provider (Supabase) so the leaderboard can be shown to other players. Do not enter personal information as your leaderboard name.
• Local storage and cookies. Idletris and the services it embeds may store small amounts of data in your browser (for example, local storage or cookies) to remember preferences and to support advertising, as described below.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and the advertising and content-delivery services we use may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and referring page.

Advertising and ad personalization

Idletris is free and is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party advertising partners, which currently include GameMonetize and Google, together with the advertising vendors they work with. These partners use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to:

• serve and render ads, including rewarded video ads you choose to watch;
• measure ad performance and limit how often you see the same ad;
• show personalized (interest-based) ads based on your activity over time and across different websites and apps, where permitted.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on the Site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can control or opt out of personalized advertising:

• Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com
• Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com
• European users: youronlinechoices.eu

Where required by law, you will be asked for consent to non-essential cookies and ad personalization before those technologies are used, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

How information is used

Information described above is used to operate and maintain the Site, display the leaderboard, serve and measure advertising, keep the Site secure, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell the small amount of data we handle.

Data retention

Leaderboard entries are retained for as long as they remain relevant to current and recent monthly rankings, or until you ask us to remove an entry. Data held by our advertising and infrastructure providers is retained according to their own policies.

Children’s privacy

Idletris is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of interest-based advertising or the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because Idletris collects so little, most requests will relate to a leaderboard entry or to advertising cookies set through your browser. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Third-party services

The Site relies on third parties including GameMonetize, Google, and Supabase, and may link to external sites. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
